Saul Bass successfully “turned the ordinary into the extraordinary” by showing spectators a world unknown to them and making them instantly familiar with it.
Essential and always balanced between the amusing and the dramatic, his work influenced the visual aspect of all the films he contributed to. Be it through his posters or his title sequences, his contribution always became an integral part of the entire film. Right from the opening credits one has a sense of the whole movie, wouldn’t you say? He provides us with a synthesis of the film medium and a lesson in style that is a source of inspiration for us still today.

It's a long journey,
beginning with the places where it is cradled my soul and leads to new faces and unusual art.
It all started with a postcard,
unearthed in bookshoop a museum, many years ago. As in a journey…
